Announcing the 2023 Parsons and Poole artist, pianist Yekwon Sunwoo, October 27 and 28.

We are also thrilled to announce the 2024 artist, pianist Dang Thai Son (dates TBA).

The Parsons and Poole Concert and Masterclass was created by alumni to honour Margaret Parsons and Clifford Poole, and to bring world-class musicianship to Western.

Playing it Back

Dorothy Hollingsworth is ensuring music students have a bright future in the arts thanks to three endowed scholarships—the William and May Hollingsworth Scholarships in Piano, Voice, and Music Education.

"I feel very blessed to have gone to university," says Hollingsworth, BMus’56, sitting in her London, Ont. condo, elegantly decorated with worldly art and artifacts gathered over a lifetime of travel.

"In my era, from a small town, there were very few girls that got the chance."
