Faculty & staff awarded for outstanding achievements

Western Engineering held its annual Faculty and Staff Awards Luncheon on June 1, 2018, where faculty-wide successes were celebrated. Awards included the R. Mohan Mathur Award for Excellence in Teaching, which was given to Chemical and Biochemical Engineering professor Elizabeth Gillies. Since the award's inception in 1996, Gillies is the first female faculty member to receive the award. Read more about this year's recipients and their exceptional contributions.

Western Engineering Design & Prototyping Fund

Within the new Three C+ building, prototyping and design spaces will play a big role in the student experience. Dedicated places for undergraduate students to build and refine their designs will bring theory and hands-on learning together.

Alumni are being asked to support these prototype maker spaces by making a donation to the Western Engineering Design & Prototyping Fund. Gifts will help outfit these experiential learning labs with the tools, materials and equipment so students can put their education into practice.
